Some recipes are so easy to make, you may wonder why you never have before. I’ve posted a few recipes on here that only require a handful of ingredients. I never even thought about making some of these recipes until I stumbled upon them. This post features another easy recipe. This one contains a few ingredients, most of which you probably have in your pantry. However, it requires only three steps and a crock pot. I’m not lying; only three steps separate you from a delicious side dish!
Once upon a time ago, I hated broccoli. My mom was a broccoli with cheddar cheese sauce fan when I was growing up, but I just couldn’t eat it. If I can’t eat a vegetable smothered in cheese, it’s probably not meant to be, right? Well, fast forward to last year. I saw a recipe for a broccoli and cheddar soup. It actually looked really good. So, I wanted to try it for Soup Sunday. I can’t tell you enough how worried I was about making a big batch of broccoli and cheddar soup. I mean, I hate broccoli right? So, I feel like I owe an apology. I’ve said some things I now regret. Back in January I said some really hurtful things. Now I need to apologize, and I hope you will forgive me, oatmeal raisin cookie. On my Pumpkin, Chocolate, & Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies post, I said some mean things about the oatmeal raisin cookie. Now I feel bad. I called the oatmeal raisin cookie boring and less successful than other cookies. I hope oatmeal raisin will forgive me.
There has been an ongoing battle in my household for a few years now. I must tell you, this post is hotly contested in my household. Samuel and I are at a strong disagreement over what “Indian tacos” are actually called. I have grown up calling and hearing these fried breads Indian tacos. Samuel, on the other hand, has grown up knowing these as Navajo tacos. I have never, ever heard Indian tacos called Navajo tacos. So we continually bicker over what these should actually be called. I’ve heard others just refer to them as fry bread. No matter the name, I’ve come up with an easy and delicious way to make them.
Lately I have been exploring different ingredients in my baking. I started to use Truvia Baking Blend in place of sugar and Splenda. I really, really love this switch to Truvia. I then started to look into different swaps with ingredients. I have been swapping apple sauce in place of oil in quite a few of my recipes. Now, I am starting to swap out butter and oil for Greek yogurt. I have to say, so far I am impressed. I made this successful swap in my Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies, and those were delicious. So I wanted to give you another yummy recipe featuring Greek yogurt.

Normally for Soup Sunday I serve some type of roll or bread. I love dipping crusty bread into creamy soup. It’s my thing.
