Baked Ravioli

I am all about easy dishes, which you probably know by now. I don’t see much sense in making dishes that others can’t easily do themselves. So, this main dish focuses on being easy and simplistic. In fact, you only need three ingredients to make a delicious dish. It also requires little prep time and not a lot of bake time. So, if you are a busy individual, you may appreciate this simple, yet delicious dish!

Pasta dishes are absolutely up there in things I love to make. This baked ravioli has been in my rotation for years. It’s incredibly simple and very delicious. You can customize it to meet your own tastes, such as using meat-filled raviolis and meat sauce. I prefer using cheese raviolis and light pasta sauce, and Samuel has yet to complain! This dish comes together within a few minutes. You basically layer the ingredients like a lasagna and throw it in the oven. If you haven’t had a baked ravioli dish before, I believe you should give this one a dry! It’s too easy not to!

This dish has the same principles of lasagna: layering. However, this dish is way easier than lasagna to prepare, so it is always a winner. First, spread ¾ cup of the pasta sauce in the prepared baking dish. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Top with half of the remaining pasta sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.

Repeat layers once, starting with ravioli. So it should go ravioli, sauce, then the rest of the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with optional Parmesan cheese or additional cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil; bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes longer or until bubbly and hot in the center. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

I have been making this baked ravioli for a few years, and it has always been delicious and easy to make. I love there are only three ingredients required for this dish. Plus, there is very minimal prep work involved in making this. I prefer to use cheese raviolis in this dish, but you could use meat-filled raviolis and meat sauce if you prefer. You can definitely customize this dish to meet your family’s needs. You can also half this dish and make it easily in an 8×8 or 9×9 pan!
