I haven’t posted a tasty dessert in a few days now. This may be surprising to those who know me. I know not everyone feels the same way I do about desserts, so I have been working hard on diversifying my blog. However, a while ago I was working hard on creating a delicious low calorie brownie option. I have posted one other brownie recipe before, Chickpea Brownies, but I know beans in chocolate isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. So I wanted to make a “normal” brownie recipe that was easy to do and yielded delicious results.
I have always been a fan of the “old fashioned” Christmas candies. This love comes from many years of enjoying candies as a kid and making them as an adult. There is one type of old fashioned candy I love to make above all others: fudge. I have been making fudge since I was in high school. I have made this particular recipe countless times, and I will say it is my most requested recipe by my family every Christmas.
I have started my annual Christmas candy experimentation for this holiday season. In recent years, I started to make my own candies for family and friends instead of buying packaged candies for Christmas. Before giving never before made candies to friends and family, I like to test them out personally (and on my guinea pig husband). Well I’ve stumbled upon another odd sounding recipe that really intrigued me. I couldn’t believe how easy it sounded. And for a chocolate based candy, it wasn’t terribly unhealthy. I give you the dark chocolate avocado truffle!
